Commercial Applications
Many heating and air conditioning
units use water to cool themselves. The cooling towers must be drained
periodically because of high TDS. Our patented method for controlling
TDS is applicable on these units. We are also exploring the possibility
of using this method on cooling towers at steam driven energy plants.
In the arid regions of the U.S., evaporative coolers are used for air
conditioning on dry days. They are very energy efficient but discharge
to waste about 6 gallons of water an hour when in use. We have designed
a unit to recover this water as well as air conditioning condensation
water.
